GYM +Goowy – The gadget wars

Two out of four are gadgets, the gadget wars have begun. Google has Modules, Yahoo has Widgets, Microsoft has Gadgets and we have Goowy Gadgets.

Goowy Gadgets are presently the only dual function gadget allowing website and desktop gadgets. Goowy and Yahoo can be run on the desktops of Microsoft or Apple operating systems, using Macromedia Flash. Microsoft Gadgets can be used online at live.com with Windows Vista utilising them on the desktop when released. Yahoo does not have any online websites using widgets. Google Modules are only available for use online. Google, Microsoft and Goowy support Firefox as the web browser giving the Linux community access to the gadget wars online only. Lastly the only one without an open API is the Goowy product.
